KATHRYN GEORGHIOU

Kathryn is an award-winning actress, and for the last seven years she has played a recurring lead role in a high-end award-winning series called ‘The Inside Man’. The series has won 2 Gold and 3 Silver Cannes Webisode Awards, 5 Silver Telly Awards, 2 Gold NYX Awards, plus others. She has also appeared in Casualty, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, and Holby City, and many award-winning short films and audio dramas, including winning six Best Actress Awards for her role in Prefer To Sip Tea, a short film she wrote and co-directed about sexual violence.

Alongside filmmaking, Kathryn is an award-winning filmmaker, having won three Best First-Time Filmmaker Awards and one Best Drama Award for her debut short ‘Changing Tides’, which was selected to screen at eight film festivals. Another film she wrote, starred in and co-Directed, called Prefer To Sip Tea, was selected for 11 film festivals and won six awards.
Kathryn also has an MA in Creative Writing (with Distinction), and writes for film, stage and audio dramas. Two of her recent screenplays, ‘Dance’ and ‘Sweet’, have been longlisted for the Unsolicited Scripts Short Film Fund and a semi-finalist for the Slick Film Fund respectively.

She is also a film festival judge at the Lytham International Film Festival and a Grand Jury judge at Film Festival Emeak.

She is classically trained, receiving a full scholarship to gain a BA(hons) from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
