About Kathryn
I am an award-winning actor, writer, and director based in London, with roots in Blackpool.
I trained on a full scholarship at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and hold an MA in Creative Writing (with Distinction). You may have seen me in Casualty, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Holby City, or in my seven-year lead role in The Inside Man, a series with multiple Cannes Webisode, Telly and NYX awards.
Alongside my acting career, I am also a filmmaker. My debut short Changing Tides won Best Drama, one Best First-Time Director and two Best First-Time Filmmaker Awards, and screened at eight film festivals. My second film, Prefer to Sip Tea, which I wrote, starred in, and co-directed, won six awards across eleven festivals.
I am a festival judge at Lytham International Film Festival and a Grand Jury judge at Film Festival Emeak.

"On behalf of director Conor Morrissey and myself I wanted to email to thank you for playing JESSIE so beautifully. In the edit we remarked on the groundedness of your performance and we loved having you with us."
Jenny Thompson, BBC Casualty Producer
"I have had the pleasure of working with Kathryn on numerous ventures, and her talents have been recognised across the board. She is a consummate professional as a producer and director, creating highly polished works that reflect topical issues with sensitivity and impact."
Ed Greenberg, LYIFF Festival Director and Lancashire Film Network Director
"It felt like a really safe and exciting place to learn, gain insight to the Characters and the play, and find their journeys, both mental and physical.
Kat gently coaxed us to talk about our characters in a safe nurturing environment, no right or wrong way to play the situation but so many layers were found.
... to have her as a Drama facilitator is an absolutely special and cathartic experience for all of us."

“Kathryn is a passionate voiceover artist who values collaborative relationships with clients. She did voice characterizations for my animated short, The Boy Prince and the Bear. Her intonation and inflection were pitch perfect as she brought each of the characters alive. Her reading of my director’s notes was spot on. It was a pleasure to work with her. ”
